Currently in the works and slated for a 2009 release, the Sherlock Holmes movie is being filmed by Guy Ritchie (recent divorcee from pop superstar Madonna). This film adaptation is based closely on the novels of the same name, and stars Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes himself. Dr. John Watkins will be played by Jude Law, and there are several other big names that will be making appearances in this movie, as well. Stay on the lookout for this highly anticipated film in 2009; it’s definitely going to be one you don’t want to miss. It isn’t until the next day when you see the morning news that you figure out exactly what happened. It seems the player who tackled Watkins was the assassin – according to the news reports, the rival player for the Detroit Lions was carrying a gun in the waist band of his uniform pants and as soon as he had the chance, he fired a single shot directly into the heart of Watkins at point blank range, killing him instantly. The assassin then quickly took off his helmet and ran off the field. He was caught before leaving Lambeau Field, however, and is now in police custody.

With a police officer knocking at the driver’s side window, your father simply isn’t able to keep up his front any longer – at least not if he doesn’t want to seem suspicious to the officer. He explains the officer everything, including how scared and panicked he was. The officer heads back to his cruiser with all of your father’s information (driver’s license, insurance and registration), and after nearly half an hour sitting on the side of the road, the officer finally comes back with the documentation and lets you all go. Needless to say, it is a very long and quiet ride home.

Finally you make it to the car – your father quickly unlocks all of the doors and you all jump in. He starts the car and puts into drive as fast as possible, squealing the tires on the family car as he pulls off leaving a trail of smoke. A police officer makes an attempt to wave your father down and stop the car, but he just floors the gas pedal and speeds out of the parking lot; he’s obviously just as scared as anybody else is, though he of course maintains a strong front in front of you and your mother. As expected, however, the cops quickly pull over the family car.

The parking lot is a chaotic scene as well, however, filled with police cars, ambulances and of course, more panicked fans. Hastily you all make your way to the family car; unsure however if you will even be able to even leave the stadium’s parking lot once you do find it. There happens to be a lot of cars that resemble your fathers – but eventually your mom spots it in the distance.

By now you hear the announcement over the loudspeaker, informing everybody that there is an armed shooter in the stadium, and the voice urges the crowd to remain calm. This of course, doesn’t go over so well with the crowd.
