Movie Review: Inspector Gadget 1 & 2

In 1999, the full-length, real life film Inspector Gadget was released in an homage to the popular cartoon series of the 1980’s. And while the film’s success was limited, Inspector Gadget 2 was released in the year 2003. Both films are obviously meant for children with their G rating, and they do a great job of catering to the younger crowd, and bringing back the original feel of the cartoon. For adults who are looking to relive our past however, Inspector Gadget 1 & 2 definitely disappoints. If you have children, you’ve probably already seen the movies – if not, they’re at least worth a rental. If you don’t have any children though, I say don’t even waste your time or money – there is plenty of nostalgic value to be found in other movies out there.
