Christmas Presents

Well tomorrow officially marks the first day of December folks – and if you haven’t already purchased all of your Christmas presents, you better get out there as soon as possible! Your time is drawing near, you still have to wrap all of your gifts and write out your Christmas cards, but you won’t have much time after that. The last thing you want is to have to brave the hectic crowds on Christmas Eve, scrambling through empty stores looking for that last minute gift – so make sure you’ve got your list, and make sure you’ve checked it twice – and go out and do your Christmas shopping! Trust me, you’ll thank me come December 24th, I promise!

TV Review: Inspector Gadget

The original Inspector Gadget was an animated television series that run from 1983-1986, and aired on Nickelodeon. Voiced by Don Adams, who also played the bumbling detective Maxwell Smart in the original television series “Get Smart”, this animated, extremely error-prone detective closely resembles the private investigator that Adams played on the show, and even has a lot of quirky gadgets that bear some resemblance to “Get Smart”, as well.

Inspector Gadget is a beloved cartoon show that bring many of us back to our childhood – and of course, there were even a couple of movies made not too long ago that featured Inspector Gadget in real life; though these films were only moderately successful when compared to the franchise as a whole.

Black Friday

Thanksgiving has come and gone, and now here it is – Black Friday. Some of us look forward to this date all year round, and some even line up in the wee hours of the morning to try and score the best deals and their favorite retailers. And there are some great deals out there, just like every year. If you are one of the brave ones (or crazy ones, depending on who you ask) that is out there, we wish you the best of luck and of course we hope everybody stays safe! It’s not long now until Christmas and then the New Year!

Thanksgiving Day

Well folks, I know we’re just kind of getting things heated up in our third case file here on the whodunnit blog, however we, just like everyone else, has to take the time to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. It’s definitely one of my favorite holidays, and perhaps even the best one of them all.  All of the food just makes it so great! So hopefully you have some good friends and family to spend this Holiday with, and I hope everybody out there is enjoying some delicious turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and a whole lot more to celebrate their Thanksgiving Day of 2008!

Case File #3 Part #8

You sit down, positioned between both of your parents and once again start to get into the game. The Detroit Lions score an early touchdown on the Green Bay Packers, and after the extra point the score is fourteen to seven, with the Packers leading. There are a couple of turnovers through the remainder of the second quarter of play, and both teams even manage to score another touchdown. This of course brings the score to twenty-one to fourteen, still with the Green Bay Packers leading at their home field – and neither you, nor your father or mother could be happier about the great day spent so far at the football field.

Case File #3 Part #7

Hastily you all make your way back down the stadium stairs of Lambeau Stadium and to your seat. That’s when you notice a tall, skinny man with long black hair, dressed in a long trench coat. He has some binoculars and is checking out the game – but you don’t remember seeing him before, and he really doesn’t look like the type of person who would be into the game of football. But what do you know? You’re just a ten year old kid, and you just smile as he makes eye contact with you, and continue following your parents all the way down to your front row seats.

Case File #3 Part #6

Accompanied by your father, you two first hit the bathrooms. The plan was to get some food and a beverage while you all were up here and out of your seat as well, but since it took a while for the police to quell the situation in front of the bathroom, your father decides to put off the snack until half time. Besides, the second quarter is already under way, and your dad doesn’t want to miss a minute of the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions game. Again he takes your hand, your mother takes the other one, and the three of you begin weaving through the sea of people.

TV Review: American Justice

This is a true life documentary crime series on the A&E Network, and is hosted by Bill Kurtis, and it is the longest running documentary justice show on Cable Television to date. Starting on September 15 of 1992, there have been over 250 episodes of the popular show that have covered such real life crime cases such as the Hillside Stranglers, the murder of Selena, the story of Waco, Texas, Lorena Bobbit, and many, many more news headline stories.

They have been known to interview witnesses, police and other key figures that are directly related to the specific crime, and because of this they can provide extremely accurate event re-creations.

Case File #3 Part #5

The Green Bay Packers are set to receive, and the game begins. By the end of the first quarter the Packers are ahead of the Detroit Lions fourteen to zero, and it is time for a bathroom break.

Escorted by both of your parents, you climb up the stairs of the stadium to the bathroom area, and something immediately catches your attention – two policeman are involved in a scuffle with a very drunken and disorderly man right in front of the bathroom. Several of the man’s buddies surround the police, yelling obscenities at them, but to no avail. The cops manage to put the drunken man in cuffs and haul him away.
